A new branch of the Japanese discount chain store, Don Quijote, opened near Kyoto Station at the end of October this year. Because of its location, the new Don Quijote Kyoto Karasuma Shichijo Store is expected to attract business travelers and tourists as well as young people.

Don Quijote stores are generally packed with an incredible range of goods including groceries, snacks, drinks, beauty and health products. This new store has just three floors — and each floor has a theme.
The 1st floor is the Cosme Section, which stocks a wide range of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Thai cosmetics. This floor will also stock women’s healthcare products, beauty appliances, and the company’s own “me&do” brand of goods which are developed by women for women.

The 2nd floor is the Party Section, which stocks sweets, alcohol, and party goods such as balloons, cosplay costumes, and board games. In addition to spirits and Korean soju, there is also a variety of imported snacks and treats.
The 3rd floor is the Men’s Section, which stocks a range of men’s accessories, smartphone related goods, and business accessories.

Don Quijote Kyoto Karasuma Shichijo Store open and ready for business
Don Quijote Kyoto Karasuma Shichijo Store is located just south of Higashi Honganji Temple and is a 6-minute walk from the northern exit of Kyoto Station. The store is open every day from 9.00 to 24.00. Here is a map showing the location.
