JW Marriott Hotel Tokyo at Takanawa Gateway City
This is the first JW Marriott Hotel to open in Tokyo, and the second in Japan, after the one in Nara, which opened in July 2020.

Part of the Takanawa Gateway City redevelopment project in Tokyo’s Shinagawa ward, the new luxury hotel will be located on the 23rd to 30th floors of the Linkpillar 1 South high rise building, which is one of five new buildings in the area.
The lobby lounge
Inside the hotel are 200 guest rooms (including suites), a lobby lounge with a croissant bar, restaurants serving Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine, a bar, a fitness center, swimming pool and spa.
The new hotel’s indoor swimming pool
The new hotel’s interiors have been designed by the Canadian design studio Yabu Pushelberg, and are inspired by the traditional scenery of Japan and Zen gardens.
A Deluxe Twin guest room
Nine of the guest rooms are “JW Mindful Rooms” that offer special wellness experiences. Mindfulness-themed facilities and special programs are available to help guests achieve a serene harmony between mind and body during their stay. Some rooms also offer access to an Executive Lounge.
